Simple mittens knitted in the round. You start with ribbing at the wrist. The thumb is knitted on the side so that the left and right mittens are identical. In the pattern, the mittens are knitted loosely and should be roomy so they fit well after felting. The advantage of felting wool mittens is that they will be more wind and water repellent, as well as thicker, so they will protect better against the cold.
