Where are the orders sent from?
HipKnitShop is a small business located in the north of Norway, in Bodø. From here, we pack and ship yarn, accessories, and knitting kits worldwide.

What is the delivery time for my order?
We pack and ship orders every day and process orders within 1-4 days. For international shipments, delivery time varies from 3-30 days. Items can also be sent via DHL express. See more information at checkout. At certain times, there may be increased volume for both us and the shipping company, which can lead to extended delivery times.

I've placed several orders, can they be sent together?
We pack and ship orders every day. Each order is unique and processed separately. Even if orders are placed immediately after each other, we won't always be able to see that the same person has ordered multiple times, and also that multiple people are packing the orders. If we notice this and have the opportunity, we may be able to ship them together.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us at Hello@hipknitshop.com. Orders are packed continuously and we therefore cannot promise that we will manage to make changes, even if you contact us. After you have placed an order, it is unfortunately not possible to change or cancel your order in most cases.

I received the wrong item, what should I do?
If you have received the wrong item or are experiencing any defects with the item, please contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we will sort it out together!

I did not receive an order confirmation
After the order is completed, an email will be sent to the provided email address. Check your spam folder to see if it accidentally ended up in the wrong email folder, or search for «HipKnitShop» in the search bar on your email. If you can't find the email, contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we'll help you.

I ordered a PDF / digital knitting pattern. Where can I find it?
PDF knitting patterns are automatically sent to the provided email address. If you don't find it in your inbox, search your email for «HipKnitShop,» and it should appear! If the email address in the order is incorrect, the knitting pattern will not be delivered. The pattern can also be downloaded from «My Page.».Can't you find it? Contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we'll help you. -
I need help understanding the recipe
step forward - you'll often find the answers you're looking for in the pattern. Also, something might look difficult - start, follow the recipe step by step - it often works out.
Browse our knitting videos here for help with patterns: Knitting videos and on YouTube. Are there any unknown techniques? Search for the name of the technique in the Google search bar or on YouTube, and helpful videos will appear.

I need more yarn to finish my knitting project
Did you order a knitting kit but not receive enough yarn?
If you have deviated/made adjustments from the pattern (for example, not followed measurements or gauge) and need more yarn, or if you have knitted the sweater in a larger size, you can reorder yarn here:Yarn
It is very important to maintain the stitch gauge for the yarn quantity to be sufficient (very important) and for all measurements. If you feel you have the correct stitch gauge (measured?) but still have too little yarn, contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we will help you.

Do I have to pay customs duty / VAT on my package?
Packages are sent without extra charge in Norway.
This may vary abroad – contact your local customs office for questions about applicable rules and regulations.
We would love to ship the yarn without any taxes, but unfortunately this is beyond our control. When you order to an international address, prices are displayed without Norwegian VAT—which is why they are 25 % cheaper. Duties and VAT will be added in your own country according to the applicable rates. We’re working on being able to offer yarn and knitting kits that have already been cleared through customs.
HipKnitShop does not pay for uncollected packages; fees may apply. If the package is held by customs, collect it and return it if you do not want the items.

Unfortunately not at the moment.

I want other color combinations in my knitting kit
Contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com and we will help you with color combinations so you can place a manual order. Yarn is often ordered separately and we can send the digital pattern by email.

I want to return the item, what do I do?
PRESS HEREto read more about returns and exchanges of goods. We do not offer exchanges for yarn. If you send yarn back, it will be refunded and a new order must be placed.

Garnet / The product I want is out of stock. Will it be back in stock?
Most of the products that are sold out will be back in stock. Sometimes, it takes a little extra time. Please contact us at hello@hipknitshop.com, and we will help you get a more specific answer regarding individual products.
Join the waiting list (click on the product and enter your email address there) so you will be notified when the product is back in stock.

What does a knitting kit contain?
contains enough yarn for the chosen size and a free digital knitting pattern. You can choose a printed pattern when ordering. Most knitting kits also include a cool label / tag to sew onto the garment
Linens, cases, and other accessories must be ordered separately unless otherwise stated.

Can I pick up my order at Studio HipKnitShop?
Yes, you can. If you enter a postal code in Bodø and the surrounding area, the option «pick up yourself» will appear at checkout. You will receive an email from us when the package is ready for pickup.

When is HipKnitShop open?
We are not a store with regular opening hours. In the Studio, we work, have creative happenings, and a showroom. We run an online store here and ship knitting kits with yarn and patterns worldwide daily. Due to varied days, we cannot have fixed opening hours. We are often on the go, work from home, or have other commitments. We are generally in the studio every day and try to have fixed opening hours on Thursdays from 12 PM to 6 PM.
If we are traveling or otherwise occupied, we may also be closed on Thursdays – send an email if you are coming from far away and want to be sure. Our email address is hello@hipknitshop.com

Can I be notified when a product is back in stock?
Yes! On the yarn product pages, we have a feature where you can sign up to be notified as soon as the item you're looking for is available again.
To register, go to the desired product and enter your email address in the field that appears. We will then send you an email as soon as the item is back in stock.
