PARADISE JACKET CHILD KNITTING PATTERN
Child's striped cardigan. A cute, soft, and fluffy dream cardigan for children. Knitted from top to bottom – you start by casting on stitches for the back piece which is worked back and forth until the armhole is finished. The left and right front pieces are knitted from the cast-on edge of the back piece. The front and back pieces are then knitted together as one piece when the armhole is finished and then continued to the desired length. Sleeves are knitted from top to bottom.
Simple knitting pattern that is great for beginners. The jacket is long, generously sized with slightly wide sleeves. Combine your favorite colors or use the beautiful colors we've put together in the jacket shown here for inspiration.
FIT
Movement (positive ease) is approximately +20-25 cm from the chest/upper body measurement for a loose fit. If a child measures, for example, 70 cm around the chest (or the widest point of the upper body), size 4-5 years will fit best (movement of 21 cm). Choose the size based on the upper body measurement and adjust the length of the sleeves and body to fit the child.
You can replace 1 strand of Fluff mohair with 4 strands of Hip Mohair. This will give you the same knitting gauge and a large color selection. Several of the colors in Fluff and Hip Mohair are similar and can therefore be used interchangeably if we are sold out of a color in Fluff that you want. If you choose to use Hip Mohair for a stripe color, you will need 1 extra skein. When knitting with 4 strands of Hip Mohair, you can either use both ends of 2 skeins of Hip Mohair to get 4 strands, or divide 1 skein into 4 smaller strands.
The knitting pattern will be sent as a PDF file to the email address provided in your order. You can also find it under «My Account» if you create a user. Remember to check your spam folder if you do not receive the pattern. Download and save the pattern after purchase.
