Camille Genser Knitting Pattern

Knitting pattern for a cozy cotton sweater. Camille is a light summer sweater with a lovely lace pattern.

Knitted from top to bottom, back and forth. You start with the back piece. The front pieces are then knitted up on each side of the initial back piece. They are knitted separately at first to create the neckline. Then they are knitted together, and stitches are increased in between. It is then knitted down to the same length as the back piece. Simple assembly with mattress stitch. Knitted together at the ribbed edge. Sleeves are knitted from top to bottom, back and forth, by picking up stitches on the front and back pieces. Assembled together when finished using mattress stitch.

Fits true to size, normal length. Slightly more fitted at the hem. Neck opening is slightly wide – can be knitted with ribbing at the neck as well if desired.

The garment has a ease of approximately 10-20 cm. Measure your bust circumference and choose your size based on a measurement that is 10-20 cm larger than your own bust circumference.
