CHILDREN'S BLUEBERRY JACKET KNITTING PATTERN AND YARN
Knitting kit with yarn and free digital knitting pattern. A cozy, warm, "throw-on" jacket for kids in double-strand Fluff Mohair. Knitted top-down – you start by casting on stitches for the back piece, which is knitted back and forth until the armhole is finished. The left and right front pieces are knitted from the cast-on edge of the back piece. The front and back pieces are knitted together into one piece when the armhole is finished and then to the desired length. Sleeves are knitted top-down.
Simple knitting pattern that is great for beginners. The jacket is long and generously sized. If you want a slightly thinner version, you can knit the Paradis jacket for children (single strand of Fluff Mohair).
FIT
Ease (positive ease) is approximately + 20-25 cm from chest/bust measurement for a loose fit. If the child measures e.g. 66 cm around the chest (or widest part of the upper body), size 12 years will fit best (ease of 22 cm).
Choose size according to chest measurement and adjust sleeve and body length to fit the child. Note – correct measurements require adherence to the stitch gauge.
