ISLAND SWEATER KNITTING PATTERN AND YARN
Knitting kit with yarn and free digital knitting pattern.
A simple striped sweater in soft, good Hip Wool. Knitted from the bottom up with 1 strand of Hip Wool. First, knit in rounds until you need to create armholes on each side. Then, the sweater is divided into 2 parts – the front and back pieces, which are then knitted back and forth to the specified length. The front piece is made with a neckline. Sleeves are knitted from the top down by picking up stitches in the armhole.
The sweater has a slightly «boxy» shape with a roomy fit and wide sleeves, which suits this type of sweater well. Normal body length. You also need a needle for weaving in ends, scissors, and a measuring tape.
FIT
The sweater can be roomy, approximately +15-20 cm ease. This means you choose a size that is +15-20 cm larger than your own bust measurement (or widest point of your upper body). Feel free to measure the width of a sweater you already own and like the fit of. For example, if you measure 94 cm around your bust, size M will fit well (17 cm ease). Feel free to choose a more oversized fit or one that is a bit closer fitting, as ultimately your personal preferences count the most when it comes to fit.
The knitting pattern will be sent as a PDF file to the email address provided in your order. You can also find it under «My Account» if you create an account. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t receive the pattern. Download and save the pattern after purchase.
