MERLOT SWEATER KNITTING PATTERN OLD GARMENT
Knitting kit with yarn and free digital knitting pattern. Lovely everyday sweater with fine details and fit. The sweater is knitted from the top down. You start by casting on stitches at the neck and knit back and forth while increasing on each side to get a nice fit over the shoulders. When the back piece is finished, the front pieces are knitted by picking up stitches from the back piece. The front and back pieces are knitted together after the armhole is finished. The sleeves are knitted from the top down; you pick up stitches in the armhole of the body.
FIT
The sweater can be loose-fitting, approx. + 20-30 cm ease. This means you should choose a size that is 20-30 cm larger than your own bust measurement (or widest point of your upper body). You can also measure the width of a sweater you already own and like the fit of. For example, if you are 94 cm around the chest, both size S (19 cm ease) or M (25 cm ease) would be a good fit.
You also need a needle for thread attachment, scissors, and a measuring tape.
