MAGDA MOHAIR SKIRT KNITTING PATTERN

Knitting pattern for a lovely tulle skirt in mohair. The skirt is knitted from top to bottom in double strand Hip Mohair with a folded edge for elastic. Elastic waistband. Short rows are knitted in the back for increased length.

FIT
The skirt has a ease of -10-15 cm (negative ease). This means if you have a waist measurement of, for example, 80 cm, size XS would fit best with -12 cm ease (or where you want the skirt to sit. The pattern is designed to sit at the narrowest point/high waist). The skirt is very stretchy due to the elastic and the fit can be both stretched and tightened as desired. If you are unsure, you can knit one size up and tighten the elastic more when sewing it in.

Note – correct measurements depend on maintaining the correct gauge. It is therefore important that you choose the right needle size according to your gauge.

You will also need a needle for thread attachment, a measuring tape, and scissors. Elastic band for the waist, 3 cm in width. Available in craft stores and most yarn stores.
